Holiday Cocktails Light on the Calories

Pomegranate Champagne Punch Recipe

Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail: (makes 6 servings) 128 calories
  • 2 cups champagne
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup seltzer
  • 1/2 cup citrus vodka
  • Lemon twists, for garnish
Passion Fruit Punch: (1 serving) 217 calories
  • 1/4 cup frozen passion fruit juice concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons light rum
  • 1 cup crushed ice
Pomegranate Martini: (12 servings) 188 calories


  • 2 1/4 cups pomegranate juice




  • 2 1/4 cups vodka




  • 1 cup lime juice




  • 3/4 cup Cointreau, or Grand Marnier




  • 1/4 cup ginger juice, (see Note)




  • 2 tablespoons sugar, preferably superfine “bar sugar,” plus more for the rims




  • I like to float pomegranate seeds for decoration




  • Spiced & Spiked Coffee: (4 servings) 79 Calories

    • 4 cups freshly brewed coffee
    • 4 teaspoons dark brown sugar
    • 3 whole cloves
    • 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
    • 2 3-inch strips orange zest
    • 2 3-inch strips lemon zest
    • 4 ounces Cognac
    Spiked Hot Cider: (6 servings) 143 calories
    • 4 cups apple cider
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 5 whole cloves
    • 1/2 cup applejack, (apple brandy)
    • 2 tablespoons cinnamon schnapps
    • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
    Kahluaccino: (4 servings) 138 calories
    • 3/4 cup nonfat milk
    • 3/4 cup strong coffee (Not a coffee drinker? Substitute Hot Cocoa!)
    • 1/2 cup Kahlua, or Frangelico
    • 3 cups ice
    • 4 teaspoons sugar
    • Shaved chocolate, for garnish
    Cran Razzy (4 servings) 160 calories


  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries, for garnish




  • 2 cups cranberry-raspberry juice (try to find a LIGHT version)




  • 2 cups seltzer




  • 2 tablespoons lime juice




  • 1/2 cup vodka
